Feeling unfulfilled by the corporate world, we knew there had to be something more, so Judy & I began to look for a business to call our own. We weren’t sure what this business opportunity would be or exactly what we were looking for, but we knew we would recognize it when we found it. In our search to find a business, we stumbled across Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry. Their mission statement and the concept of this unique retail store captured our attention immediately. Could this really be a business opportunity where we could actually combine our faith with our business? We found out that the closest store was in Fort Myers, so we left early one Saturday morning and headed south. We were impressed with the way this upscale store was set up and the amazing products that they sold. The Christian music playing in the background assured us that this store was different than other clothing & jewelry stores. The store owner, Karen, shared her amazing story and told us all about her business venture. We soon realized that this was more than just another business opportunity, but was a company that reflected the love of Christ.
Our next step was to meet Curt Coleman and the staff of Go Fish. Curt shared his testimony and his vision and mission for the company of Go Fish. It was evident that he had a heart for God and a heart for people. The people were friendly, the departments were organized and infrastructure was in place to support the stores within the company. We were especially impressed with the warehouse filled with unique handmade items from the talented artisans from developing countries in which Curt purchased these extraordinary pieces. There seemed to be something that would appeal to just about anyone. As we looked at each other we knew that we had found our business.
